Hello and welcome to my website, my name is Maria Doherty, and I have been hairdressing now for ten years.  After a complete change in career in my mid thirties I decided to go back to college and study hairdressing where I studied for three years and gained an HNC in hairdressing. I then decided to stay on an extra year and gained an HNC in make up artistry as well. Afterwards I went to work in a couple of salons to further my knowledge and experience but found I preferred to work mobile and spend more time with my clients one on one in a more comfortable and homely environment. It is far more personal and enjoyable than the hustle and bustle of a salon environment I also found it more intimate and relaxing because I love getting to know my clients. I then got to thinking about offering my clients somewhere they could go that is private and relaxing where they get my full attention from start to finish. I find this important to build up a good relationship and means I'm not jumping about from client to client in between your service. I have a home salon in a private room which is both welcoming and relaxed where you can request to have a silent appointment without judgment where you can listen to some relaxing music.  All the products I use are premium range ensuring only the best for your hair. I keep myself up to date with the latest trends and continue online training with Wella education as well as other well known hair educators in the industry. I love what I do and I continue to learn my craft in what is a very rewarding and ever changing industry. I love making people look and feel good about themselves.
